history. the May 1972 issue of Interview was the first with a cover designed by Richard Bernstein. Both the Art Deco logo
and tagline ‘Andy Warhol’s Film Magazine‘ were dropped from the magazine starting with this issue. they were replaced
with’ Andy Warhol’s Interview’. Richard
Bernstein continued to design the cover for the next fifteen years. he died on October
18, 2002 of complications from AIDS at the age of 62, after having been a long term resident of The Chelsea Hotel.
